DENTAL IMPLANTS

With a natural look and feel, dental implants are the gold standard for replacing missing teeth permanently

Home Dental Implants

If you're considering dental implants, you'll probably have a whole host of questions to ask: How much do dental implants cost? How are dental implants done? Will I need a full set of dental implants? How long do dental implants last? That's understandable and we can help you with all of those questions.

First, let us tell you a bit about ourselves. Neel and Vinit are Specialists in Prosthodontics (specialty of restoring and replacing missing teeth) and have extensive experience in utilising dental implants to help with replacing your missing teeth. They are also active members of the International Team of Implantology, which is a long-standing organisation specifically involved with research and development in Implant Dentistry. In addition they are involved in the postgraduate education and training of dentists in Oxford and at the University College London, Eastman Dental Institute in London.

There are many different types of dental implants, but at One The Gallery, we exclusively use the Straumann or Biomet 3i implant system, as these manufacturers have developed some of the most researched and studied implant systems currently available, and have been involved in implant dentistry since the early 1980’s. We believe that they provide the best dental implants.

Together with specialised dental laboratories, we are extremely confident that we are using some of the most advanced materials and dental technology available to help restore your smile and function. These two implant companies offer surgical, restorative and regenerative solutions from bone augmentation and tissue regeneration, through to implants and individualised crowns and bridges. We use these two companies because they are backed up by an excellent proven treatment system and are long established companies.

One The Gallery

Before any treatment is planned, one of our experienced clinicians will undertake a thorough clinical and radiological assessment of your mouth, teeth and gums, in order to make sure that this is the best treatment option to help restore your smile and function. You will be provided with a comprehensive written report that will highlight the treatment options available to you.

Our experienced clinicians have undertaken significant post graduate and advanced training in all aspects of implant dentistry. Whether you require a single tooth or multiple teeth to be replaced, you can rest assured that our team is experienced enough to take care of you throughout the dental implants procedure.

Dental implants in Oxford patient journey

Many of our patients are keen to ask 'what are dental implants?' And 'how do dental implants work?' In short, dental implants consist of a titanium screw and an abutment on to which the crowns/bridges are attached to:

  • Dental Implant - the titanium screw that anchors into the bone - and mimics the root of a tooth.
  • Abutment - the connection between the dental implant and the tooth/teeth.

Once integrated within the bone, the implant is used to support single or multiple crowns and bridges, or dentures onto the abutment. These are customised to your aesthetic and functional needs, just like crowns and bridges on teeth would be.

The titanium dental implants look and feel natural, restoring the strength and function of a natural tooth, but it will also preserve the health of your neighbouring teeth and your underlying bone structure. As they are anchored in the jaw, just like teeth, there is no artificial plastic on the roof of the mouth and the need for adhesives and denture creams is eliminated. More importantly, the use of dental implants does not impact healthy adjacent teeth.

Often our patients ask 'are dental implants safe?' And 'do dental implants hurt?' The truth is, dental implants are one of the most remarkable advances in dentistry in recent years, and have become the treatment of choice for people missing one, a few, or all of their teeth.

Dental implants were initially developed to help patients, with no teeth, to stabilise and support full dentures. However through material science and technology, dental implants are now one of the most predictable treatments available to replace both single and multiple missing teeth.

Whatever the reason for tooth loss, and for those with failing teeth or severe periodontal disease, dental implants can help in restoring your smile and function.

Dental implants also offer a strong, permanent alternative to some of the common difficulties associated with traditional dentures:

  • Are your dentures prone to slipping and sliding?
  • Is chewing difficult?
  • is speaking embarrassing?

It's understandable that one of the first questions our patients ask is 'how much are dental implants?' The truth is that problems with dental implants can occur with cheap dental implants and for that reason, we use high quality components rather than the cheapest dental implants.

What dental implants cost is dependent on the extent of the treatment that a patient needs. Some need full dental implants, whilst others require a single tooth replacement. A guide to the price of dental implants at One The Gallery is below, but we will give you a more accurate breakdown of costs once we have assessed your needs, so that you can budget before treatment begins.

Dental Implant, Abutment & Porcelain/metal crown (single tooth) :
from £2850
Dental Implant Bridge (fixed) 2-4 teeth :

PATIENT TESTIMONIALS

WHAT SOME OF OUR PATIENTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT US
I have been very pleased with my treatment at One The Gallery. The treatment plan was carefully explained and, at all times, I felt completely confident in the process. All the staff were kind and efficient. Neel Patel was endlessly patient and extremely careful to give the best results possible. I am so happy with my “new” teeth and, consequently, much more inclined to smile!

WHAT SOME OF OUR PATIENTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT US
I am delighted with my new tooth, it looks so natural you’d never know it is an implant. I was recommended to the practice by my dentist who said their work was excellent and I’d be more than happy to recommend Vinit and his team to my friends and colleagues. Over all my visits everyone has been unfailingly kind and welcoming and has made the whole experience as smooth and pleasant as possible. Thank you.

WHAT SOME OF OUR PATIENTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT US
I had a dental implant to replace a visible upper left tooth in the latter half of 2015 with Neel Patel. It was my first experience of private dentistry after a lifetime with the NHS. These treatments are not cheap and cannot be undertaken lightly, but I felt that bearing in mind the expertise of the dentist, the time he took, his care and attention to detail, I received good value for the money I paid. These treatments have risks, and I felt that Neel had taken every possible attention to minimising the risk and achieving a good result. He explained everything to me; I found plenty to ask him about and he patiently handled my queries. I felt confidence in him throughout. They do a lot here to keep the pain to a minimum, and the nurses are reassuring and friendly.

WHAT SOME OF OUR PATIENTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT US
I went to One The Gallery after a difficult implant time elsewhere. They picked up difficult pieces professionally and caringly. I have been under Vinit Gohil’s care for the past two years. He has seen me through tooth extractions, abscesses and another set of implant dentures. All without pain. He is gentle and reassuring and an absolute perfectionist. He works for/with his patients. He gets the best of results. I cannot recommend his care and expertise highly enough. I live in Devon. The journey is a long one. I think that says it all.
