Course Description
This one-day course is designed for dentists wishing to introduce dental implants into their daily practice, and we will cover the indications and benefits of dental implant-supported restorations as a treatment option for your patients.
The day will involve a combination of lectures, treatment planning and hands-on exercises. Delegates will be taken through each stage of implant treatments, including patient selection, restoration design and maintenance. Following the hands-on exercise, participants will have the knowledge and practical experience of the instrumentation, impression components and steps to restore Straumann® dental implants in straightforward cases.

Both Neel and Vinit are registered specialists in Prosthodontics. After several years of hospitalbased training posts, they both completed 4 additional years of specialist training in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute during which time they obtained the MClinDent in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics with Distinction and the Membership in Prosthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.
Neel subsequently received a scholarship from the International Team for Implantology (ITI) to undertake a 2-year, full-time Fellowship in Implant Dentistry at the Center for Implant Dentistry at the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA.
They now work together in their private practice in Oxford, where their clinical practice is mainly limited to restorative and implant dentistry. Their special interests include the use of digital technology in dentistry, in particular with guided implant placement and 3D planning, and the management of complications with dental implants.
They are both involved in postgraduate dental education and lecture both locally and nationally on topics related to implant dentistry and fixed and removable prosthodontics. Neel and Vinit are both registered speakers for the UK & Ireland Section of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and are co-directors of the Oxford ITI Study Club.
