Neel graduated from the University of Bristol, and subsequently worked in the Community Dental Service and has a lot of experience in special care dentistry including treating extremely anxious patients. He then held various hospital posts in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery before completing 4 additional years of specialist training in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute. As part of his specialist training, he completed the MClinDent in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics, with Distinction, and was awarded the UCL Dental School Commemorative Prize for clinical and academic excellence in Prosthodontics. As a result of this training and after obtaining his membership exams, he is recognised as a specialist in Fixed & Removable Prosthodontics by the General Dental Council.
He subsequently accepted a scholarship from the International Team for Implantology (ITI) to undertake a 2 year full time Fellowship in Implant Dentistry at the Center for Implant Dentistry at the University of Florida, Gainesville, USA.
Neel has extensive experience in all aspects of restorative dentistry including both simple and complex treatments, and has a special interest in managing failing crowns and bridges, complications with implant crowns/bridges as well as the use of digital technology in dentistry. He also accepts referrals from other dentists for complex restorative and implant dentistry, including the management of complications associated with dental implants.
In addition to holding a part time Clinical Teaching Fellow post in the department of Prosthodontics, at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London, he is also involved in post-graduate dental education and lectures both locally and nationally on topics related to implant dentistry. Neel is a mentor to other dentists placing dental implants and a registered speaker for the UK & Ireland Section of the International Team for Implantology (ITI).
